Halifax Transit route 4 'Universities' is a corridor route, that runs from the Lacewood Terminal in Clayton Park to south end Halifax, specifically servicing the major universities - Dalhousie University and Saint Mary's University. The route travels via Lacewood Drive to Windsor Street and Robie Street, looping in the south end at Dalhousie the following the same route back via Spring Garden Road, South Park Street, and Inglis Street. As a corridor route, the route has high frequency and travels through main areas.

The route was created in 2018 after the discontinuation of the former university route, route 18. Although still named universities, the route no longer provides service to Mount Saint Vincent University, like the 18 did. The changes came due to Halifax Transit's Moving Forward Together Program, which included an overhaul of the entire transit structure.
