Halifax Transit's Lower Water Street Terminal is located on Lower Water Street in downtown Halifax. The terminal consists of its own private right of way adjacent to Lower Water, next to a series of boutiques and a coffee shop. The building which houses the businesses has a large overhang which provides shelter over the waiting area and buses themselves. The terminal is a short walk from the Halifax ferry terminal. This is typically not a busy bus stop, and is used more often as a layover spot for drivers on other routes, due to both its lack of use, and its close proximity to two coffee shops.
Buses entering the terminal travel down George Street, crossing Lower Water Street and entering the terminal. Routes departing either cross Lower Water and travel onto Duke Street, or turn right onto Lower Water Street.
