Hong Kong Express Airways Limited (also known as HK Express) is a low-cost aviation carrier in Hong Kong, founded in 2004 with differnet Chinese company name - 港聯航空公司, commenced the operation in May 2005 with 4 Embraer E170 aircrafts.

HNA Group to acquire a 45 percent stake in Hong Kong Express in August 2006, and their Chinese named to rebranded as - 香港快運航空 until now, they were introduced the Boeing 737-800 fleet from 2007-2008.

Hong Kong Express was transition to Low Cost carrier in 2013 by the HNA Group, the brand was renamed as "HK Express" with couple Airbus A320 from Hong Kong Airlines at the beginning before they got their own A320/321 aircrafts.

On 27 March 2019, Cathay Pacific Airways agreed to take over HK Express for HK$4.93 billion (US$628 million) from HNA Group.
