Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority 2500-2651
Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority 2500-2651 were 1975 GMC T8H-5307A New Look buses. These buses were the newest buses in RTA's fleet at the time it started, on September 5, 1975. Some or many of these buses were also rehabbed in the early 1980s, including being repowered with 6V71N engines and VH-9 transmissions. The air conditioning was also removed during rehab and the buses were repainted into the new "LOOP" livery. These were among the last of the New Look buses in service for Cleveland. The last of these buses were retired in September 1992, likely due to the decline in the population of the city, making the buses surplus.
