The Grand Canyon Shuttle is a shuttle service for the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park, operated by the United States National Park Service.
The service was created as a voluntary and alternative form of transportation on the grounds of the Grand Canyon National Park.
Services operate year-round.
Contractor for operating Grand Canyon’s shuttle bus system and maintaining the park’s fleet is Paul Revere LLC, Boston.
Routes and descriptions
- Village (Blue) Route: connects the Visitor Center with lodges, campgrounds and other facilities.
- Kaibab Rim (Orange) Route: quickest way to get from the Visitor Center to canyon views.
- Hermit Road (Red) Route: Scenic views along a historic road. (seasonal service)
- Tusayan Route/Park & Ride: If you are planning a visit during the South Rim's busy season (March 1, through September 30, 2017) lines are long at the entrance station and parking is difficult to find on the South Rim. You can park in the gateway community of Tusayan and ride a free shuttle bus into the park.
- Hiker Express Shuttle: An early morning bus with service to South Kaibab Trailhead. Bus departs from Bright Angel Lodge bus stop on the hour; second stop at Backcountry Information Center; third stop at Grand Canyon Visitor Center; last stop at South Kaibab Trailhead.
