Go South West is the subsidiary of Go-Ahead Group covering bus operations in Cornwall and Devon, UK.

Administration is based out of the Plymouth Citybus garage in Plymouth.

History

Go-Ahead first established a presence in south-western England in November 2009, when it purchased Plymouth Citybus. In 2014, Plymouth Citybus began operating former Western Greyhound route 593 under the banner of Go Cornwall Bus.

Transport for Cornwall awarded Go-Ahead an 8-year contract to operate bus services in Cornwall under the Go Cornwall Bus brand. The two brands were grouped together under the newly formed Go South West company in August 2020. Operator Dartline, based in Exeter, was purchased by Go-Ahead in 2022.[1] Additional services in Devon were added under the brand of Go Devon Bus in 2022, to replace services previously operated by Stagecoach South West.[2] These services were surrendered in 2023, with Stagecoach South West resuming their operations in June 2023.

Services

Go South West Coach Hire

In addition to scheduled transit services, Go South West operates charter coach operations under the banner of Go South West Coach Hire. Coach hire services were previously operated by Plymouth Citycoach until 2020, when they were shuttered due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
