Galt Public Service Commission took over transit operations and management in Cambridge from Canada Coach Lines on February 1, 1962. The Galt Public Utilities Commission operated/managed the bus service for the city, while The Canada Coach Lines supervised the daily operations. The buses were stored, repaired and serviced at The Canada Coach Lines garage in Galt.
Galt Public Service Commission became Cambridge Transit on January 1, 1973.
