The Ford Transit was a small transit bus built by Ford in the 1940s. Also known as Model 9B a total of 12,192 were built between 1940 and 1947. The chassis was assembled by Ford. American built buses had Union City Body Company bodies and Canadian built buses had Brantford bodies.

For each year the model number was slightly changed. The first number was the same as the last year that the bus was built. However it should be noted that there were buses that did not follow the model rule. For example Kingston City Coach had some buses built in 1946 that were model 59B.
