Fayette Area Coordinated Transportation or FACT is a public transit service in Fayette County, Pennsylvania.

History

Fayette Area Coordinated Transport was formed in response to the December 1995 Fayette County Transit Study Final Report and Action Plan, performed by the consulting firm, Benetac Associates. Based on this study, the Fayette County Board of Commissioners charged the Fayette County Office of Human Services with creating Fayette Area Coordinated Transport in 1996 as a mobility program for older adults and those traveling to medical appointments. FACT expanded its service offerings over the following years, and by 2003 was classified as an urban transit operator.
