exo Chambly-Richelieu-Carignan provides public transit to the municipalities of Carignan, Chambly, Marieville, Richelieu, and Saint-Mathias-sur-Richelieu. exo Chambly-Richelieu-Carignan is operated under contract by Autobus La Québécoise.
History
exo Chambly-Richelieu-Carignan was created on June 1st, 2017 under new legislation reorganizing public transit in the greater Montréal area, which replaced AMT with RTM. It took over services previously operated by CIT Chambly-Richelieu-Carignan.
When first launched, it was branded as RTM - Secteur Chambly-Richelieu-Carignan, and was given its current name on May 23rd, 2018 after RTM adopted the exo branding. Service was initially operated by Transdev, the previous system contractor. A public call for tender was issued in April 2020, with Autobus La Québécoise operating the system effective June 2021.
On July 1st, 2024, service returned to operations by Transdev after it won the rebid over Autobus La Québécoise.
