Elk Grove Transit

Elk Grove Transit, known as e-tran, provides public transportation to the city of Elk Grove, California. e-tran was formed in 2005, after taking over services from Sacramento Regional Transit District and Paratransit, Inc.[1] This arrangement lasted for 16 years, at which point Elk Grove felt that e-tran would be better operated by Sacramento RT than by the contractor they were using at the time. On July 1st, 2021, e-tran merged back into Sacramento's transit agency.
