The Electric Transit Incorporated 14TrSF is a 40 foot trolleybus built for the San Francisco Municipal Railway between 2001 and 2003. Electric Transit Incorporated (ETI), a joint venture between AAI Corporation and Škoda, was awarded the contract to build the buses in April 1997. The buses' frames and propulsion system were manufactured in the Czech Republic. They were then shipped to AAI's manufacturing facility in Hunt Valley where body panels were applied and painted and subsystems were installed.[1]. Final assembly took place in San Francisco at the Pier 15 facility where flooring, seats, signs, and wheelchair lift were installed, and where the buses were tested. Two prototypes were delivered and underwent testing from 1999 to 2002, with the remainder delivered between 2001 and 2003.[2]
