The ElDorado National E-Z Rider II BRT is a BRT-styled version of the EZ-Rider II MAX. It was introduced at BusCon 2008 in Chicago, IL and made its Canadian debut at the 2008 CUTA Trans-Expo in Windsor, ON.

Like the E-Z Rider II MAX, the E-Z Rider II BRT was introduced with natural gas and propane fuel options in addition to diesel. In March 2009, it was announced Big Blue Bus would purchase ten 30-foot gasoline-electric hybrid buses from ElDorado using Federal Economic Stimulus Funds.[1] These are the first hybrid E-Z Rider buses built, and were delivered in June 2010.

The first E-Z Rider II BRT demonstrator had a single-piece plug-type front door, single-piece windshield, and flush-mounted windows. Agencies would later specify what elements of the BRT styling package would be used on their buses. For example, York Region Transit was one of the first agencies to specify traditional doors and windows as well as a two-piece windshield.

The rear of the E-Z Rider II BRT is the same as the conventional model. It was updated at the same time with the new rear for the EPA 2010 engines with a new grill design and exhaust stack.
