Edmonton Transit System route 595
Edmonton Transit System route 595 is a special service route operated by Edmonton Transit System.
This route operates from South Campus/Fort Edmonton Park TC to Fort Edmonton Park. Service operates weekdays, Saturday and Sunday on a 20 minute frequency starting July 1, 2016. (Weekend/Holiday only service from May 21 to June 30, 2016).
Introduced in 2007, route 595 served popular tourist attractions around the Edmonton area including: 124 Street, Alberta Legislature, Downtown & Churchill Square, Fort Edmonton Park, Muttart Conservatory, Old Strathcona (Whyte Avenue), Royal Alberta Museum, TELUS World of Science, University of Alberta, and the Valley Zoo.
An EDDIE pass, which can also be used on regular transit, was required to ride on this route. A 1 day pass costs $12 while a 2 (consecutive) day pass costs $20.
Route 595 operated 7 days a week from June 30 to September 3 on a 1 hour frequency starting at 9:00AM and ending at 5:41PM. The trip duration was 2 hours.
2009 Service Cut
In 2009, the EDDIE Bus service was cut back to a 2 hour frequency, with only 4 trips a day from June 25 - September 7, 2009.
The first trip departs at 11:00AM and service ends at 6:48PM.
Only 1 day tickets are available, at a cost of $15.
