Durham Region Transit 8975
Durham Region Transit 8975 is a ElDorado National E-Z Rider II MAX bus built in 2008 and is used exclusively on Ajax-Pickering Community Bus routes, formerly called Flag Bus. DRT trialed a 2006 E-Z Rider II MAX demo shortly after that year's CUTA Trans-Expo. They bought their first new one (8975) in 2008 which allowed them to gradually replace their fleet of ELF cutaways.
8975 has seating for 23 passengers with perimeter seating in the low floor portion and 2+2 seating in the high floor portion. The perimeter seats can be folded to provide space for three wheelchairs. The seats are in grey and have unpadded inserts in Holdsworth Fabrics' YSW24954 moquette. This bus feature a wheelchair ramp at the front door and the rear door. The rear door uses Vapor touch bars for passenger operation. This bus has a GFI Cents A Bill fare box and bike rack.
