History

  • Operated transit service in Jasper Place, Alberta from the 1940s until the Edmonton Transit System takeover on August 17, 1964.
  • They ceased operations in the late 1960s.

  • Total of eleven to sixteen bought from the Metropolitan Corporation of Greater Winnipeg.
    • Known ex Winnipeg units 825 and 829 (38-S) & 373, 375, 377 (34-S); were bought in 1962.
    • 361, 363 & 365 are believed to correspond to numbers 36, 37 and 38 and were bought in 1963.
  • Known fleet numbers are 28 to 38.
  • These were mainly used for peak hour service for Jasper Place; one or two buses (#28 was one) were assigned for all-day service to Sherwood Park.
  • All except one or two buses used for Sherwood Park were retired on August 15, 1964.
    • Sold to Jasper Auto Parts of St. Albert and Windsor Auto Parts in Southeast Edmonton.
