Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (also known as just Detroit Metro Airport or Metro Airport by locals, IATA: DTW) is the central airport of Detroit, Michigan and one of the busiest airports in the United States.

It is currently a primary hub airport for Delta Air Lines and Spirit Airlines. It was previously a primary hub for Northwest Airlines prior to its merger with Delta in 2010, and was also previously a primary hub for Republic Airlines prior to its merger with Northwest in 1986.

Terminals

McNamara Terminal

The McNamara Terminal opened on February 25, 2002, replacing the outdated Davey Terminal. It was also alternately named the Northwest WorldGateway when Northwest Airlines existed, and was originally known as the Midfield Terminal during development. All SkyTeam alliance airlines serving the airport operate out of the McNamara Terminal.

Concourse A is the main building of the McNamara Terminal.

A second structure contains concourses B & C. Concourse B was completed with Concourse A, while Concourse C was at first a small, temporary structure but was replaced with the current permanent structure in 2006. Both concourses are connected to Concourse A through an underground tunnel under the terminal's ramps that features color-changing walls synchronized to an original musical score composed by Victor Alexeeff that runs for nearly 30 minutes before repeating.

Evans Terminal

The Evans Terminal opened as the North Terminal on September 17, 2008, replacing the outdated Michael Berry and Smith Terminals, and received its current name on April 4, 2022. All non-SkyTeam airlines serving the airport, and all non-SkyTeam partner charter airlines, operate out of the Evans Terminal.
