Detroit Department of Transportation 1800-1829 are New Flyer Industries XD40 buses built in Anniston, Alabama in 2018.

Buses 1801-1829 are the second DDOT buses to feature those exact fleet numbers, which were previously used by 1980 GMC RTS-03 (T8H-203) buses.

Each vehicle in this series is identical to the 2017 order, and were initially delivered in the same modified livery used on that order, but prior to entering service, they were rewrapped into a new livery unveiled by DDOT on August 28, 2018, featuring white and gold rays against a mint green background emanating from a green silhouette of the Spirit of Detroit structure in front of the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center in downtown Detroit. This has come to be known as the rays livery or the "Doublemint Gum" livery. They would enter service on September 1, 2018, initially being deployed on DDOT's ConnectTen network, which renumbered the agency's ten heaviest traveled routes into consistent numbers while upgrading service on those routes.
