Detroit Department of Transportation 1509-1518 are New Flyer Industries XDE40 buses built in Crookston, Minnesota in 2015. They are companions to and are mostly identical to 1500-1508, 1519-1538. They are the second DDOT buses to feature the fleet numbers 1509-1518, which were previously used by 1979 GMC RTS-03 (T8H-203) buses.
