Delta Air Lines' 747-400 fleet are 747-400s. These aircraft were acquired from the merger with Northwest Airlines in 2008.

5 airframes were acquired between 2014-2016 for spare parts.

This series was officially retired from passenger service on December 19, 2017. Remaining airframes operated until January 4, 2018 on charter flights.
