CyRide is the public transportation operator in the city of Ames, Iowa. They operate 13 fixed routes, a Dial-A-Ride service for persons with a disability, and a late night service called Moonlight Express. The fixed routes and Dial-A-Ride operate every day of the year except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Moonlight Express operates on Friday and Saturday nights when Iowa State University is in session. All fixed route trips shown in the timetables are wheelchair accessible and service animals are allowed (pets that are not service animals are prohibited).

The Moonlight Express operates on Friday and Saturday nights from 10:30 pm to 2:30 am.
The East Ames Service Extension (EASE) provides on-demand service operated by a small bus in East Ames.
The following routes, along with all associated variants, were discontinued in August 2018 upon implementation of CyRide 2.0 redesign:[2]
- 4 Gray - ISU Campus to DMACC Ames
- 10 Pink - City Hall to E 13th St. Replaced by EASE Route.
- 22 Gold - Ash Ave to north ISU Campus. Free circulator.
- 24 Silver - Union Dr to south ISU Campus. Sundays only.
