Cummins NH Series

The Cummins NH Series was a 14 litre diesel engine originally introduced in 1975. It had a horizontal or "pancake" layout. The NHHTCs were usually found on the Crown Ikarus 286 and the Orion III models.

The engines were revised in 1979 (gen II), 1983 (gen III) and 1985 (gen IV).

  • NHH-220: 220 hp @ ? rpm, ? lbf/ft @ ? rpm
  • NHH-250: 250 hp @ 2100 rpm, 686 lbf/ft @ 1500 rpm
  • NHHTC-262: 262 hp @ ? rpm, ? lbf/ft @ ? rpm
  • NHHTC-290: 290 hp @ 1900 rpm, 930 lbf/ft @ 1300 rpm
  • NHHTC-300: 300 hp @ 1900 rpm, 1000 lbf/ft @ 1300 rpm
  • NHHTC-350: 350 hp @ 1900 rpm, 1120 lbf/ft @ 1300 rpm
  • NHHTCC-350 (California): 350 hp @ 1900 rpm, 1065 lbf/ft @ 1300 rpm
