Culver CityBus is a public transportation servin Culver City, the unincorporated community of Marina del Rey, and the Los Angeles neighborhoods of Venice, Westchester, Westwood, West Los Angeles, Palms, Rancho Park, Mar Vista, and Century City.[1] Connections with Santa Monica Big Blue Bus and LACMTA are available.

History

Culver CityBus was founded in March 1928 with a route from Culver City to Venice Beach after former mayor Reve Houck was granted permission by the State Railroad Commission.[1]

  • Line 1 - Washington: Runs between Windward Circle in Venice Beach and the West L.A. Transit Center via Washington Blvd
  • Line 2 - Inglewood/Venice High School: Runs between Fox Hills Mall and Venice High School (Weekdays only)
  • Line 3 - Century City: Runs between Century City to Mesmer and Centinela Avenues
  • Line 4 - Jefferson: Runs between Fox Hills Mall and the West L.A. Transit Center via Jefferson Boulevard (Weekdays only)
  • Line 5 - Braddock: Runs between Venice High School and Blair Hills via Braddock Drive (Weekday School Days only)
  • Line 6 - Sepulveda: Runs between UCLA Ackerman Terminal and the Aviation Metro Green Line Station.
  • Rapid 6 - Sepulveda: Limited stop service between UCLA Ackerman Terminal and the Aviation Metro Green Line Station (Weekdays only)
  • Line 7 - Culver: Runs between Marina Del Rey's Fisherman's Village and the intersection of Venice and Culver Boulevards(Weekdays only)

Fares

Culver CityBus, along with Santa Monica Big Blue Bus, participate in BruinGo. BruinGo is a system in place where UCLA students and staff can swipe their university ID, called a BruinCard, on the farebox so that the university pays a part of the fare.

Culver CityBus offers a regional transit monthly pass called the EZ transit pass. It is available for use of unlimited travel on the surrounding transit systems. Valid Metrolink tickets or passes will be accepted for unlimited local travel by every participating carrier, except Santa Monica Big Blue Bus.[2]
