The Collins Bus Corporation NexBus is a high floor type-A school bus. It was unveiled in early 2012 with the first production bus completed in May of that year. The NexBus is a redesign of Collins' type-A lineup and the successor to the Bantam. It was offered under all three brands: Collins, Mid Bus, and Corbeil.[1] In 2016, the Mid Bus and Corbeil brands were phased out.

Compared with the Bantam, the NexBus has increased visibility through the loading zone window, and the passenger windows were made larger. Since its launch, the NexBus comes standard with SafeGuard Xchange seating systems. The NexBus is available on the Chevrolet Express, Ford E-Series, and Ford Transit chassis. The Ford Transit chassis became available in 2015.[2]

In addition to gasoline and diesel, the NexBus is available with propane and hybrid-electric drivetrains.[3]
