After the dissolution of Czechoslovakia (at the end of 1992) the company was divided into state owned Czech Railways (České dráhy) and the Railways of the Slovak Republic (Železnice Slovenskej republiky). The immovable infrastructure was transferred to the successor countries according to location, the rest was divided by 2:1 ratio.
Rosters
Equipment carries numbers in the format of 3-digit class number then a 3-digit inventory number (dash) and a computer check digit. A cast number plate is carried on both ends and the number is usually painted on the side although some railcars carry cast plates on the sides and painted numbers on the ends,

- Ceske Drahy DC Electric Roster --Numbered in the 200 series
- Ceske Drahy Multi Voltage Electric Roster--Numbered in the 300 series
- Ceske Drahy DC Voltage Electric Railcars--Numbered in the 400 series
- Ceske Drahy AC Voltage Electric Railcars--Numbered in the 500 series
- Ceske Drahy Multi-voltage Electric Railcars--Numbered in the 600 series
- Ceske Drahy Diesels--Numbered in the 700 series
