Central Contra Costa Transit Authority or The County Connection is a public transit agency operating fixed-route bus and paratransit (County Connection LINK) service in and around central Contra Costa County in the San Francisco Bay Area. It serves the communities of Alamo, Antioch, Concord, Clayton, Clyde, Diablo, Danville, Dublin, Lafayette, Martinez, Moraga, Orinda, Pacheco, Pittsburg, Pleasanton, Pleasant Hill, Rossmoor, San Ramon & Walnut Creek.

History

Transit service in Central Contra Costa county was initially provided by Oakland-based AC Transit as it expanded into suburban Contra Costa County in the mid-1970s.

CCCTA assumed control of the public bus service in 1980 as a joint powers authority.
