Route 9 operates between the Mount Pleasant Go Station and Williams Pkwy & Edvac Dr / Sun Pac Blvd while also making a stop at Bramalea Terminal. The route mainly follows Bovaird road, Vodden street and Central Park drive. 9 Vodden provides connections to Brampton Transit routes Mississauga Transit routes. Route 9 also has connections with Go Transit at the Mount Pleasant Go Station and Bramalea Terminal.

History
Prior to May 16th 2005, regular all-day weekday-only service on the 9 Vodden was provided from the Downtown Transit Centre via Main Street, Vodden Street, Howden Blvd, Central Park Drive, Chrysler Drive and Williams Parkway, looping via Spar Drive, Ward Rd and Automatic Rd at the east end of the route. A few runs during rush hours would use routing via Main Street and Williams Parkway to get to/from downtown to the eastern end of the route (no different branch letter was assigned to those runs).
- May 16, 2005 - Main branch of route renamed as the 9A Vodden, rush-hour branch along Williams Parkway becomes the 9B Williams. Routing for both branches to downtown via Main Street eliminated. Instead, both were rerouted west from Main Street to Mount Pleasant GO Station (9A via Vodden, Williams Parkway, Fletchers and Bovaird, 9B via Vodden, Williams Parkway, Pertosa and Bovaird).
- September 5, 2006 - 9A Vodden branch received weekend service.
- September 3, 2007 - 9A Vodden branch renamed back to the 9 Vodden, and rerouted via James Potter and Ashby Field. 9B Williams branch becomes new 29 Williams route.
