Route 23 operates between Mount Pleasant GO Station and Queen Street at Highway 50. The route primarily serves Sandalwood Parkway for the entire length of Brampton.

History
- December 10, 2001 - This route was introduced as a rush-hour only route connecting Trinity Common Mall, Heart Lake Terminal, and the neighbourhoods west of Heart Lake operating via Bovaird Drive, Heart Lake Road and Sandalwood Parkway (looping from Sandalwood Pkwy onto McLaughlin Rd, Bovaird Dr and Chinguacousy Rd in the west end). Service was initially provided by one bus operating on an hourly schedule in the AM (5:30-9:00am) and PM (3:30-7:00pm) rush hours periods, Monday to Friday only.
- November 19, 2004 - the Sandalwood Parkway bridge over the future Highway 410 extension opened, allowing future routings of the 23 take Great Lakes Blvd to Sandalwood instead of Heart Lake Road (Highway 410 had not been extended north of Bovaird yet). Brampton Transit bus 0417 was in attendance, transporting city and provincial officials to the official afternoon opening.
- May 26, 2005 - Route is extended along Sandalwood east to Torbram Road, and west to Mount Pleasant GO station. Service still AM-midday-PM Monday to Friday. Routing officially changed from using Bovaird and Heart Lake to taking Great Lakes and Sandalwood.
- September 5, 2006 - 23 receives weekend service, extended east to Redwillow Road via Torbram, Castlemore, and looping Redwillow, Cottrell & Goreway.
- September 3, 2007 - Routing extended east to McVean Drive with minor rerouting.
- September 3, 2013 - Western section of route 23 was extended along Sandalwood Parkway to Creditview Road.
