The Boeing 747SP (Special Performance) is a double-deck wide-body long-haul airliner developed by Boeing in the mid 1970's, a subtype of the Boeing 747. The 747SP is based on the Boeing 747-100 but shorter and designed for extended range operations.
The 747SP is no longer in development.
