Barrie Transit 1701-1713 are Nova Bus LFS buses built and delivered in 2017.

In August 2016, Barrie was announced to be receiving $4 million in funding from the federal Public Transit Infrastructure Fund, which would go towards the purchase of 13 new buses to replace existing conventional units. These units were purchased through the 2017 option year of the Metrolinx Transit Procurement Initiative. Deliveries were initially scheduled with the first 5 units to be delivered by May 2017, with 4 more units later in 2017, and the final 4 in 2018;[1] the last 4 ended up being delivered in mid-December 2017, shortly following the second batch.

1706-1713 have a revised Barrie Transit livery, with an angular navy stripe in the shape of the system logo and a City of Barrie "B" logo instead of the previous horizontal navy stripe.
