Barons Bus Lines is an inter-city carrier operating in the midwest United States.
History
Barons Bus Lines was launched in 2012 by Tom Goebel, whose family founded Lakefront Lines in the 1960s. Lakefront Lines continues today, but is now owned by Coach USA.
John Goebel, vice president of Barons, said the bus company serves 70 communities in Ohio and six nearby states, specializing in college campuses and underserved cities. Among its destinations: Oxford, Ohio, the home of Miami University, as well as the campuses of Ohio State and the University of Cincinnati.
In a typical month, Goebel said Barons serves 10,000 to 15,000 passengers, including those using the company's charter service. Barons bought Cleveland Southeastern Trails in 2014.
The company's fleet now totals 51 buses, all MCI J4500 coaches, all less than two years old and all with Wi-Fi and electrical outlets.[1] In February 2023, Barons began taking delivery of some of the first 2024 MCI J4500's built to further update its fleet.
