BC Transit 6000 was a GMC TDH-3301 "New Look" bus built in 1971. It was originally delivered to the City of Nelson Transit System as 118.

In April 1975, a fire destroyed the Nelson transit garage and most of its fleet. While damaged, 118 was deemed salvageable, and was rebuilt and renumbered as 6000 as part of the provincial fleet.

Buses owned by the Bureau of Transit Services transferred to the Urban Transit Authority upon its creation in 1979, renamed BC Transit in 1982.
