Avis Rent-A-Car is an international car rental agency that operates under the Avis-Budget group of companies. It was founded in 1946 in Ypsilanti, MI by Warren Avis. Many Avis locations are located near or within airports, and Avis provides shuttle bus service at various airports to transport passengers from airport terminals to the rental car centers.
