Arlington Transit, or ART, operates transit service in Arlington County, Virginia.

Services are contracted out to First Transit.

History

Arlington Transit began operations in 1998, as an initiative to provide more local bus service within Arlington County. In the mid-2000s, Arlington Transit took over operation of a number of Metrobus routes operating through its jurisdiction.

National Express operated the system starting in 2009. Effective December 29, 2019, the operations contract was awarded to First Transit.[1]
