The ARBOC Spirit of Equess is a low floor, rear-engined bus geared towards rural transit operations. The Spirit of Equess was first shown off at Buscon 2016. It made it's formal debut at the 2017 American Public Transportation Association Expo in Atlanta, Georgia. It made its Canadian debut at the 2018 Canadian Urban Transit Association Trans-Expo in Toronto, Ontario.

The Spirit of Equess uses a purpose-built low floor chassis. The bus is low floor throughout and uses portal axles from ZF. A diesel or natural gas fueled engine is mounted transversely at the rear. In either configuration, the fuel tank is in its own compartment ahead of the engine.
