Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District 2601-2652 were 1990 Gillig Phantom 40' (40/102TB/6V92T) buses. They were initially delivered without rear route signs. The buses entered service on 1/15/1991. They were retrofitted with exhaust catalysts early in their service lives.

  • As many as 21 units were used by Transit Sales International/Complete Coach Works as parts buses to build Elk Grove Transit 04-517 to 04-537 in 2004.
  • Some units were sold to Transporte Urbano y Sub Urbano 24 De Febrero, S.A. De C.V. in Tijuana, Baja California via Transit Sales International. 27 was a notable unit spotted running in December 2005.[3]
