The Airbus A300 is the first aircraft developed by Airbus Industries in the 1970s.

The aircraft was developed into 4 different variations, and, ultimately, led to the development of the A310.

This aircraft is no longer in development but continues to be operated by various aviation services.

The first Airbus aircraft developed to advertise the aircraft, equipped with General Electric CF6-50C engines. A second aircraft was developed and used by Trans European Airways, Air Inter and Air Algerie. The first aircraft remains preserved while the 2nd has been scrapped.
