The ATR 72-500 (also known as the 72-212A) is a narrow-body short-haul turboprop airliner developed by ATR in the late 1990s. The 72-500 is the 7th model to be developed of the ATR 72 series.

This aircraft is no longer in development, replaced by the ATR 72-600.
