Canadian National
9216 was on Training this morning. As I stated above, Training Dept. wants all D40s reserved only for training, but obviously, the early morning and late evening placer did not read the memo stating the reservation of those buses and are putting them into revenue service. Afaik, only one D40 did not get sent for Training today.
JCL
Spotted today on training runs: 9003, 9008, 9042, 9053 and 9216. In service this afternoon during the PM rush hour: 9013 (rode), 9042, 9046 and 9227. As I stated above, Training Dept. wants all D40s reserved only for training, but obviously, the early morning and late evening placer did not read the memo stating the reservation of those buses and are putting them into revenue service.Afaik, only one D40 did not get sent for Training today. In my opinion, I do not agree with Transit Training's request to have all the NFI D40 reserved only for training. As long as the buses are working properly, they should be put out into service. JCL
9216 on 95 Rode it as Route 35 Orleans, after its trip on Route 95. The run number is E-139. Here are my sightings (I may repeat what was already posted): Training - 9208 and 9216 PM Rush Hour - 9013, 9046, 9053 and 9216. I also saw 9042 on Route 86, and the run number looked like 86-9 (I didn't get good look at it as I was riding the DD when I saw it). EDIT: Nevermind, Enviro_1203 reported the sighting on the other thread.

C.Flat
Spotted 9216 on a training run this morning, exiting the WB Queensway at Maitland at about 8:45. Why do they use D40s for training? Wouldn't it make more sense to train drivers on buses that will actually be around beyond 2011?

Wouldn't it make more sense to train drivers on buses that will actually be around beyond 2011? Cause they are good buses to use for training...its not how to operate different controls as much as it is to learn to drive a bus
Centralsmt
Cause they are good buses to use for training...its not how to operate different controls as much as it is to learn to drive a bus What makes them a good bus to use for training as opposed to any other bus in the fleet? Enviro_1203
What makes them a good bus to use for training as opposed to any other bus in the fleet? Apparently they handle good and they are slower so the driver can get used to driving a larger vehicle

Centralsmt
Apparently they handle good and they are slower so the driver can get used to driving a larger vehicle Do you honestly believe that? Its more to do with they are the oldest buses in the depot, and they are normally only used at peak times!
