A. Wong
It's just a Freightliner custom chassis. The actual manufacturer of the bus is this company: http://thebusbuilders.com/ Looks like it's the demo unit on their webpage.
canuck600
Wish his pictures weren't so small, makes it hard to identify some of the coaches.
kevlo86
Those pictures seem to make up the entire Pinnacle fleet. Guess next time someone here heads to Banff they ought to check out the Pinnacle yard. If they are going under that leaves Brewster Transportation as the only renaming Banff based motorcoach operator. And 2 years ago there was Banff Transportation and Tours and Gray Line based there. BCT-3122-D800-10240
Ex-BT&T (which I believe was owned for a short time by Pinnacle, but not operated by them to the best of my knowledge), MCI 102C3 #781 now seems to be operated by Airport Shuttle Express in Calgary now. Found it at a shop near the Alyth yard in S.E. Calgary last night with numbers and decals stripped off and new decals for Airport Shuttle Express. BCT-3122-D800-10240
Spotted one of the Ex-BT&T J4500's in Calgary yesterday now decalled for Pinnacle, but I did not see a fleet number on this unit. As far as I know, they did get both of the Ex-BT&T J4500's. (#'s 108, 208).
M. Parsons
Saw some sort of cutaway on an International chassis decalled for Pinnacle today.
BCT-3122-D800-10240
It appears the Pinnacle MCI 102-EL3 is no longer active. It seems to suffered a fire and is now parked in the back of their lot. I am not sure what fleet number this coach carried, but it is former Banff Transportation & Tours #401. BCT-3122-D800-10240
This ex-Orleans Express Prevost XL-II almost fooled me for a second hand Canadian Forces Coach until I caught up to it and noticed it had Alberta plates then saw the small print. Check out the attached image captured in Calgary, Alberta earlier today:
1604
Canada Coach Lines appears to be a rebranding or takeover of Pinnacle Tours as www.pinnacletours.com now redirects to the Canada Coach Lines site. http://www.canadacoachlines.ca/
Prevost
Does anyone know the relationship between Universal Coach Lines and Canada Coach Lines? Are they a subsidiary of Universal Coach Lines? Both companies share similar website design, images, and slogan.
kevlo86
Does anyone know the relationship between Universal Coach Lines and Canada Coach Lines? Are they a subsidiary of Universal Coach Lines? Both companies share similar website design, images, and slogan. Unless they recently partnered together, as far as I know, they have nothing to do with each other. Pinnacle (now Canada Coach Lines) has been around for many years with a fairly small fleet of buses operating mainly in the AB/BC Rockies. Pinnacle also generally does not appear to do work for the same tour companies that Universal frequently does.
School Bus 101
I spotted a white unit operating for this company. I myself thought it was a Federal bus. I spotted it this morning around 9:00am by C.O.P.

Compare the below two websites and you will find the overwhelming similarities between them: www.universalcoachlines.com www.canadacoachlines.ca You will find that both sites show the same mechanic guy, with the recognizable Universal red star logo on his uniform. Yes I realize that, perhaps they may have something to do with each other now. But as I mentioned, it has never been apparent that Pinnacle and Universal had anything to do with each other. Prevost
Yup, I completely agree with you Kevlo86. It has to be after Pinnacle went out of business and Universal started Canada Coach Lines. But does anyone know why they don't just keep the Universal name? 1604
There's also http://universalcoachline.ca/ which is completely different from the two other sites, but I guess that site is more for the Vancouver side of things (despite the numerous references to Calgary). canuck600
Prevost, how do you know Universal started Canada Coach Lines? All we know for certain is that Pinnacle has rebranded as Canada Coach Lines. Anything else is just a assumption at this point.
Prevost
Lol okay I don't know for certain they did. However, since the two websites are over 90% the same except for company name, it is very likely the two companies are associated somehow.
miklin
surprised they were able to use the Canada Coach Lines name which was previously owned by the Hamilton Street Railway. Guess the statue of limitations must have expired
