bus_7246
I went looking briefly this morning if I could see W112, but she wasn’t visible from Lake Shore Blvd. I did see that W167 is done though. Fleet numbers peeled off and no licence plate
bus_7246
A lot of wheel-trans buses were inside Harvey Shop this evening. - W248 was being stripped of old decals (prepping stages prior to repainting) - W275 was in a bay beside W248 with the side windows, hood and front fenders removed - W288 is now repainted (W288 was where W248 currently is at the moment last week) awaiting decals - W277 has also been repainted, with a new set of decals freshly applied - W203 (an already repainted unit) looks to be in a retired state since all TTC logos, fleet numbers and wheel-trans branding have all been peeled off. The licence plates has also been removed as well - W246, I guess, may be sitting and waiting its turn for refurbishment as well outside the north side of Harvey Shops

Or are they planning on keeping a stack of them?

leylandvictory2
The newest generation of wheel trans vehicle has arrived and in service. Spotted W700 yesterday at Don Mills Station. It is a Dodge Promaster cutaway van. I believe it is identical to the demo presented to TTC earlier this year. Sadly, I didn't have time to stop and check it out. I wouldn't be surprise if it is a hybrid. I haven't seen an old livery Ford Friendly wheel trans bus lately, I guess TTC has the refurnblished ones left and their dates are numbered.

Articulated
On 2/20/2020 at 5:13 PM, wil9402 said: At next week's Board Meeting there is a procurement authorization to purchase more Wheel-Trans buses. In addition to ordering another 20 ProMasters for delivery between this year and 2022, the TTC would like to order 1 ProMaster/Arboc Cutaway demo bus for delivery this year. Upon successful assessment by ACAT of the demo bus, the TTC will order 90 more for delivery this year and 2021. These Cutaways will replace the Friendly Buses, including the community bus fleet. Procurement Authorization – Purchase of Wheel-Trans Buses Browsing Arboc's website, it appears that the Independence model is no longer being offered on the ProMaster chassis. What this means for the 90 buses that TTC has on order for this year, I'm not sure. Other updates: The 20 ProMaster CS-2 buses that were supposed to arrive between 2020 and 2022 are almost all on property already; only the last two have yet to arrive, and at the rate they've been coming in I'd say those two will be here by the end of the month. More Friendlies have been converted to Community Buses; W293-W296 have been converted this year, with W100 and W299 having been retired.

Overall @Articulated, this is TTC’s acquisition of buses from New Flyer (technically) in total (despite acquiring ARBOC). Also, #W244 and #W282 are sporting the LFLRV livery. They had signs installed in early 2021, but did not receive the Community Bus logos; they're used as "backups".
