Articulated
It appears more Friendly's have been retrofitted for Community Bus service; W103 has the white LED sign and was on the 404 East York Community Bus today. This makes it seem likely that W100-W106 are probably all undergoing/undergone retrofitting for Community Bus service to replace the Orion IIs. W285 was also spotted in service today, if it's of interest to anyone (since I'm posting here anyway).

wil9402
Yesterday morning I spotted 4 Orion IIs parked along Lakeshore Blvd fence with a bunch of ELFs and a few Friendlys. IIRC, this is where Lakeshore parks retired and new vehicles.

Matt
W104 was on the 404 today. I didn't catch a peak at the front of the bus, but the door sign has an orange LED destination sign and not the white LED ones. The programming was also double-lined on the side sign, so I'm not sure if this is the typical Luminator equipment TTC uses.

It's probably a TwinVision Silver Smart sign on the front with their usual Amber LED sign for the side. YRT's bus orders since 2009 have had TwinVision signs, and the side sign is two-lined. wil9402
W300 was being used for the Stuff-the-Bus event at the Sheppard & Kennedy Walmart today. I'm pretty sure W300 is the highest this order will go. The Wheel-Trans Fleet plan shows 231 buses for 2012, 30 of those being ELFs, which makes for 201 Friendlys (W100-W300). 2020
Looks like there a changes on the horizon for Wheel-Trans although it seems some of these are being implemented now. http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/transportation/article/1304184--makeover-recommended-for-ttc-wheel-trans#comments

2822
After 20+ years of service these probably have close to a million KM's on them?
Articulated
After 20+ years of service these probably have close to a million KM's on them? I wouldn't be so quick to judge... for their entire life, they were only used for an 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday, and on relatively low-speed routes (meaning they don't rack up the km's as quickly). The 7xxx have over a million km's on them but it took them many years of heavy, 7-day-a-week abuse and long, higher-speed routes.
G.A
9701 has already been sold. The mechanic was just taking the fare box AA system ect out. 9700-9701 and 9706 were the only units at the Wheel-Trans yard. 9702-9705 were at a different yard. The mechanic was night enough to take me for a spin in 9701 and 9706 and posed the buses.

leylandvictory2
I'm surprised they lasted that long... When you don't have money, you have to keep using them. Fishbowls is a notable example. I know some will argue that they are reliable and I can't dispute that. However keeping them for over 20 plus years is a bit too much. Gotta love the Caprice taxi and the price of the Big King (presumaby a competitor to the Big Extra at time I would assume) by not even looking at the date of the bus or photo I would say this photo was taken 1998-1999.
