M. David
Sounds interesting. Given the number, will it be called 427 Express St. Joseph or something? I'm interested to see how this turns out.
SMS
Wow! Maybe a precursor to the diagonal metro line often talked about that would serve Rosemont and the Plateau? This is great... only now we have to see how it will get downtown. Would it get there via R.-Levesque R-BUS lanes? Or go via the Mountain? Or maybe des Pins/Dr. Penfield? It's about time more Express routes were created!
kellergraham
My guess on its routing: St-Joseph / Parc / Rene-Levesque / Guy

SMS
My guess on its routing: St-Joseph / Parc / Rene-Levesque / Guy Replace Parc with Saint-Denis/Berri and you got it!
Chris_the_traveller
We can see some traces of the new 427 express on the new winter planibuses. See the planibus for the 30 for example: http://www.stm.info/bus/Planibus/30.pdf So your routing idea was probably just about right, SMS!

montreal66
220 is NOT new. It's been running for a few years now. Really out of what CT. I tried entering it on the STM site and it said the route does not exist, so I thought it was new.
M. David
It's a St. Laurent route, AFAIK.

M. David
I went down to the "sushi bar" at Berri today to battle the vulture-like old people for the new Planibus. I did not find any schedules for the 406, 427 or 747 there. When I went to inquire about their availability at the Objets Trouves counter, I was told that these routes would be launching in March 2010 as opposed to January. kellergraham
An article in today's Gazette about the future Route 747 (although the don't mention the Route number) http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/suburb...3245/story.html I wrote a comment about the route not being part of the CAM or TRAM pass. SMS
Seven bucks they want for that! This would be our first premium express route in decades.
Chris_the_traveller
"It will be a very nice bus, you'll put your baggage (in a storage area) underneath and you'll get a transfer for the subway," said STM vice-chairperson Marvin Rotrand Sorry if this is old news, but could this mean they're going to use coach buses? (I would imagine it to be a little tricky making a storage area under an LFS )
joseph99929
One of the comments on the Gazette site say that it will be free for CAM/TRAM holders. This is very good news.
