I gotta say, very impressed with the photos! I know Paul Leger.

Cape Breton was a fine but an old town until the underground mining has finally shutdown in early millennium, now it's deteriorating and nothing to see! That garage hasn't change much except putting around the part fence!

Spotted the new Vicinty #7085 (30ft model in 2 door version) in town, one more is due coming.

Surprise found at the garage are two ex London NFI Invero buses 419 and 438 sitting at the back, 3 more are coming and will be used to replace the used D40LF buses

I never had thought of Cape Breton getting used Inveros ever. And I thought the V's would be retired instead of the D40LF's, but this is good news though.

The D40LF have used quite a beating....

D40LF retirements are as follows, from a new local source I have been in contact with;

7072 retired in October 2014.

7067 retired this past May.

7069 has recently retired, and 7068 may be the next to go, leaving 7070, 7071, 7073 and 74 active.

Also, 7086 (ex-London 419) entered service back in November. No word if 7087 and 88 are active now.

Thx for the update, any pictures of 7086 that you can share with us? Would love to see how the inveros look like in Transit Cape Breton scheme, thanks again

Cape Breton will be receiving 2 Nova Bus LFS and 2 Grande West Vicinity 30' in 2017.

Vicinity buses cost $394,500 each. The Novas are $507,440 for the first one and $499,280 for the second one (the 2 buses were tendered separately within a few months of each other due to funding)

7086 sustained some body damage last month, here's a shot my buddy took recently after the repairs were done.
