M. Parsons
Yesterday, there were 2 midday U-2 consists... the usual Train 7, and I believe Train 10. Same thing today, although, I never caught the second train number although it was in the right place to be 10. I believe 7 ran with 4 cars all day. M. Parsons
Have you not seen those ads? No. I try to avoid advertising where possible. Obviously, your post did not have the effect it was intended to. Maybe just don't post next time?
M. Parsons
The Aflac Duck is a classic, hell even I know about him Yep. Nothing. Don't recall ever seeing that thing. None the less, thank you sir for now I can put his comments into context. Problem is now, I'm left wondering even more WHAT THE FUCK? In other news... ex Co-Op 805 running for L&M Charters? doing the Bay elevator LRT replacement shuttle. I wonder if it is cheaper to hire a charter company than pay a DATS driver to run a van back and forth, or an ETS driver with a Glaval or ELF, like they did at Clareview? captaintrolley
First time I've heard of Aflac Duck. I took a few minutes from CPTDB and Googled 'Aflac'. That duck is a hoot.

Michael Marriott
Actually, given the closeness of Central, Bay and Corona Stations, and the large number of buses running on that stretch of Jasper (1,2,5 all day long, plus 100,111,120,135 during daytime hours and 14,109 during peak hours) I wonder why we even need to provide this shuttle. Anyone with a wheelchair at Bay could just get one of those buses ride a couple stops up Jasper then get off and use Corona or Central. Practical or saving money doesn't always enter the equation. Yesterday morning there was a white van with LRT SHUTTLE on a magnet on it parked by scotia place. Apparently this is not a Chev Celebrity.
captaintrolley
LRT running contingency service between Grandin and HSS tonight due to some flooding at the Univ Station. They've shut off the escalators and roped off all the doors. Flooding in the signal room also. Trains are running straight through at Univ. This started at around 1945 tonight. (Or at least that's when I heard the first call for contingency buses while on my way home from 1905 Pub). Maybe LRT should do like this discussion board and initiate 'Flood Control'

Yes, it was all 2 car U2 (midday) that I saw. Nice surprise!!! Has anyone seen them bumping up or bumping down SDs before?
M. Parsons
Incidentally, a few cars have a green door button of the old style. They look a bit beat up and don't look like brand new buttons, which leads me to believe ETS might have picked up some of Calgary's surplus door buttons after CT replaced all the door buttons on their U-2s with the LED versions.Off hand, I can't think of which cars have the green push buttons, and don't even recall seeing them recently but I believe there are photos on this board... somewhere. Edit: Went looking for old posts myself. Apparently I noted 1022 and 1033. Apparently I posted photos on my website in a temporary folder, but I've since deleted that. Confirmed that 1022 still has an old style green door button. Most noticable when the light in the button is off. Seemed to be the usual midday LRT mix- SD's with 1 U2. Monday saw all SD's, except for 2 U2 trainsets.
