For some reason , I thought Nova would have reevaluated. Huge news nonetheless. Hopefully the current workforce can continue working for this new company. So some jobs saved. 1
FlyerD901 Posted December 11, 2024 Report Posted December 11, 2024 Looks like Nova will be out of there by summer 2025. So all orders should be completed by then. And an off chance that dint get completed by then, I'm sure the Quebec facility will pick up the rest of any outstanding orders. A quick glance at Novas website. They still currently order Diesel LFS and Artic LFS. Maybe they revers the decision in getting rid of ICE buses.

Give it some time, they'll probably change it if the foamer gods don't intervene and put an end to their BEB-only dreams

Hopefully this link works. Gives a quick summary of the article. And from Nova themselves https://novabus.com/en/blog/2024/11/26/nova-bus-sells-its-plattsburgh-plant-to-micro-bird/ 2 1
Mind_the_gap Posted January 5 Report Posted January 5 I was honestly surprised when I saw this: Source I hadn't realized Nova was still making buses with a narrow front door. Guess that makes these exo's inaccessible? 2 1 1
Mind_the_gap Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 ^ I'd understand if the middle doors were wide with a wheelchair ramp. One front door with a wide middle door for accessibility is common in Europe - that's what the 3/4 / 1/4 Nova front doors are trying to mimic. One less door mechanism to operate, unless needed for a mobility device. 1

Guess that makes these exo's inaccessible? Exactly, those buses had a suburban configuration that isn't accessible and does not kneel either, it seems. 2 1

Guess that makes these exo's inaccessible? This is a 2015 unit, not 2025. And exo network is very vastly non accessible. Started it's carrer for Transdev on the exo Laurentides contract , moved to Sud-Ouest contract when they lost the Laurentides one. 1 1
