I did ride 113 bus because I been ride with SSMTransit for more than 2,000 times, I saw 113 exist in my own eyes but not long run.

Unfortunately, without a picture to prove it, I would agree that this bus never existed due to superstitious reasons. Here is a roster from January 2002. You can see that it did not exist at that time. If it existed for only a year or two when new, chances are the VINs for 112 and 114 would be out of sequence but they are not.

Having said that, I appreciate your current fleet observations and keeping transit enthusiasts up to date on SSM Transit, It is a very interesting fleet.

Aside from that TTC Orion 7 NG, does ssm have any other new or “new” buses to put in service?

164 will not service yet, I been watching everyday and 164 will be same 157 so 164 will not service for long

I did talk with them and they said its was only 2 days by accident paint number to renumber from 113 to 114, I do remember I saw it when I was there but I can see it why 113 been not around as long but I found out its was only 2 days and I can see 121 missing but there is 121A and 121B so your paper is 2nd copy from 1st but 121A do exist

I saw 121 exist in my own life but I know I saw 113 but only 2 days and 113 did not been in service, I was confused but my work said Im right but not in service and it's was only 2 days in garage and accident paint to make 2nd paint to renumber, I get it but there still missing 121 is not accept that all

121A and 121B do exist, that end of story and your paper is not helpful

With many municipalities beginning to receive confirmation if ICIP funding applied for in 2019, it's bus purchasing time again. For Sault Ste Marie, they currently have tenders out for 6 40ft buses and 4 35ft buses. The tenders close on September 22. Sault Ste Marie Tenders and Proposals

There is a report regarding the purchase of transit buses on Monday's council agenda. New Flyer will be awarded the tenders and Sault Ste Marie will be getting 6 XD40s and 4 XD35s.

New Flyer was the lower bid for the 40ft buses compared to Nova. For the 35ft buses, both Grande West and City View (ElDorado Axess) bid as well.

Are the Orion 6s and ex TTC Orion 7s still in service? There's a chance I'll be in town in Mid August-early October.

With 10 Xcelsiors on order, you would have to expect that if they are delivered in the next month or two, then the Orion VI buses would most likely be retired by October. I expect the ex-TTC buses to survive this round of retirements, but you never know.

A new unit was spotted in service on the 6 route. It’s numbered 177. It’s on a E450 chassis.

Yes, from info on Facebook from someone who visited recently, there's apparently either two or three new cutaways, which are Champion LF Transport bodied buses on Ford E-450 chassis. They replaced the previous two cutaways, 155-156, which were built in 2015. A 6-year life expectancy for cutaways is a little short, but SSM liked to use them frequently, as one would be on the Community Bus while the second is out daily on regular routes (normally the North Street route).

Wow only 6yrs? When I was a mechanic at CK Transit we got 10 years out of them going 13 hrs a day on transit. Had one with over 1,000,000 kms and the rest between 800,000 and 900,000. Serviced them every 8,500(once a month on average). Near the end we patched them together but they made it to St.Thomas as the final resting place. Only major issue was a head on one engine(very fun to change with it still in the bus)
