captaintrolley
Given captaintrolley's issues, it seems even being in a regular bank is pretty damn useless these days! I once went to the Telus Tower to have my aunt's phone service canceled (she died) and it COULDN"T be done. 33 floors of office tower and not one place in there to 'sign something' and get service canceled. Good grief.
pccstreetcar4549
gone are the days you could go to a store (i.e loblaws, best buy etc) give them a resume or application, they just direct you to a website to apply now, they dont even give application forms anymore. i dont have an issue with that, but not all people looking for work are computer literate, so it makes the job search harder for some (i personally hate how you have to register on a companys career site just to send one job application)

Used to be able to go up to a place, point to the [Help Wanted] sign - get interviewed / hired / and start right away ~ all on the spot. I suppose the modern way is more competitive. Then again, those without computer literacy are left out of the game. Probably a lot of dedicated hard workers in that bunch too.
TTC1700
I knew I'm bad luck.... I go search in my pocket but there's nothing. My money isn't there. My $250 is missing. That's over $400 I've lost over the past year....

I did have one of those wallets, but it made me an easier target for theft. Most people know if you have a chain going your pocket, that you have a wallet, and with that you have money. Having my wallet concealed in my jacket or backpack avoided that. But for yesterday.... I didn't do neither. I just threw my money into my pocket and not in my wallet. Travelers often use them to conceal money when traveling in countries where pick-pocketry is common. If you are going to have large sums on you then this may be what you need. Keep a bit o'change in your pockets (easy access) for coffee or what not.

captaintrolley
It's very odd and weird to use a money belt for me considering I'm a teenager. Doesn't matter. If you are prone to losing things, a money belt could save you a lot of grief. You could lose I.D. cards, bank cards and what not and if these things get into the wrong hands it could cause you a major headache. It'll make you wish you had a money belt. Look after your stuff and make it a habit to be more careful. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Besides, it could be the next fashion trend. Pink is the next black you know. I used one over the March Break when I went on my school's Eurotrip. Plus, its concealed under your clothing, so no one will notice.

Plus, its concealed under your clothing, so no one will notice. Even a small fanny-pack would work to hold money, cellphone and keys safely. Stuff flies out of pant pockets far too easily. A friend of mine says her husband is always dropping money out of his pockets and she's always behind him picking up the money. She says they'd be broke if it weren't for her following after him all day.

captaintrolley
Someone swiped my copy of the Transit News from my desk. I usually don't keep them because since they've gone to the new format they are not appealing anymore. However this issue had a pic of my son's dad in it and I was saving it. captaintrolley
Your sons Dad? Explain the possibility of this?Edit: NVM you're a female. Very good. He had badge # 1 for a few years. He retired in 2003. My son (a Pokemon fan) used to call himself The Son of One. The picture in the Transit News was of Don Sr. and Larry W. (who was next in line for the coveted badge at that time). Larry just retired a few weeks ago so they had a pic of Don and Larry and a separate pic John K. (who is next in line for the badge # 1 after Larry). R. McConnell
I locked myself out of my room a few minutes ago. This wouldn't be so bad normally — except for the fact that I had just come back from taking a shower and was wearing only a towel. I could hardly see anything as I wasn't wearing my glasses. Thankfully someone came by with a phone and I was able to call the lock-out number to let myself back in, but otherwise, I could have been standing outside for hours on end. vivablue5215
I got suspended from the CPTDB for a whole week!! FML Ever wondered why? Back on topic, apparently in the week and day I have been away from home, my parents have moved a lot of stuff around my room (without my permission). Now I can't seem to find any of my transit memorabilia...
