General FML moments

The Our Lady Peace concert that I wanted to attend so badly takes place the day after I leave for France next year.

How possible is it to adjust your trip?

I haven't had a day as bad as today for a while.

My coworker accused me of dropping unknown substance into his mug. I told him I don't even know WTF that stuff is.

My lunch box pops open inside my tote, spilling chicken juice all inside.

CRA reassessed my return for missing a T3 that I was never made aware of, and charged me $331 for arrears and interest.

I don't want to buy new eyeglass yet because I am waiting for the results of my next assessment at a lasik joint, but my brother and mother dragged me there anyway. I stood my ground and mom agrees to pay for it until the result comes if it indicates I should not get lasik done.

FML already!

I didn't bring my camera today, and I ended up riding 29-116, and 29-127, both new buses that haven't been spotted before.

I did have a good day because of that, but I wish I had my camera, to get pics!

Why not, next time, bring your camera with you? I always do that when I can!

"I have to go get the bus now!" I said at 4:18, as two buses went by 4 minutes before the 4:22 posted on the schedule.

"I'll transfer at the mall then!" I said 10 minutes before every bus left the mall in time for the bus I was on to arrive alone.

"I'll take the bus back downtown and go to the library instead!" I said as I boarded a bus that would sit at the terminal for 10 minutes.

I'm back in again! But for how long, I dunno!

I've been getting intermittent [server Not Found]. Then I delete History/Cookies etc and type in www.cptdb.ca instead of just clicking onto it in faves. Seems to work.

Man I hate days like that. Those 'should've stayed home in bed days'.

Probably one of the top FMLs of the year.

I got my iPhone robbed today.

That's terrible! I don't think I'll be able to live without my iPod touch, always need my music when I'm on the go.

:P

I live in one of the "most dangerous neighbourhoods in Canada" (at least the police here seem to think so) and I have never been a direct victim of crime...

Obviously they haven't left the city even once in their lifetime.

Maybe he's the one making the neighbourhood "dangerous" :P

No, I'm not.

Most of the crime in this neighbourhood has to do with drugs and alcohol. I don't use drugs or alcohol, therefore I am never involved in crime.

Another problem is people being "randomly" assaulted or robbed. While in many cases these are truly random, a lot of them are actually the result of people reacting the wrong way to situations. (That is, they don't know how to live among poor, desperate people.) If a native person comes up to you and asks "Hey man, can I bum a smoke?", you don't say "Get out of my fucking face, you dirty lazy Indian!" because he'll beat the shit out of you. You say "No, I'm sorry, I can't spare any" or if you're like me, you say "No, sorry. I don't smoke." An amazing thing happens: They say "OK!" and keep walking!!!!!!

See, if you treat them like humans, they'll treat you human too! And that is how I have lived in a neighbourhood surrounded by criminals, asked for smokes and money constantly but never a victim of crime. :P I even walk around this neighbourhood in the middle of the night. I see crime happening but it never affects me, because I know how to keep out of it.

To recap:

How to not be a victim of crime:

1. Stay out of illegal shit

2. Be polite

3. Mind your business. Crimestoppers has a hotline for a reason, and you're not cop.
