Yes.  And I had the right location from the beginning which helped as well.  Thanks.

No problem, glad I was able to help!

781 and 784 are also apparently at Can-Ar's yard in Vaughan, ON. Their subsidiary company TOK Transit is the contractor for Fort Erie Transit.

What buses, if any, were retired when the 2014 XN40s entered into service over a year ago? The original staff report recommended the replacement of 4 New Flyer buses, although now with the 5 ElDorados gone (and no further reports of any new deliveries) I'm guessing they were retired instead.

And it seems as of last week, I spotted #781 (renumbered #2803) operating for Billy Bishop Airport Shuttle via Porter Airlines in Toronto.

So the whole coloured route network didn't work did it?

It would have, if they kept the terminal open and started it not on the first day of school.

Update:

According to MHT's fleet manager, buses 746 & 747 (D40LF) and 748-753 (D40LFR) will be retired with the next order of buses. The new model(s) are yet to be determined, however they will be CNG buses.

Arbocs 720-725 and 730 will be replaced by new Arbocs as well.

This will happen within the next 5 years.

Edit: next 5 months, apparently.

D40LF 743 was retired in August of 2017 after breaking down. It was sold to a private owner back in July.

Saw 6 buses at Gas City Metals in Dunmore. Couldn't see the numbers.

There were:

1 Classic in the blue/red colours

2 New looks painted white

2 Orion IIs in the blue/red colours. Probably 769 and 785

1 Orion II without a sign

The oldest buses (746 and 747, 2005) active this morning. Also, (according to a driver), one of the maintenance guys attached a flute to one of the air release valves on 750. It now sounds like a steam train.

Medicine Hat Transit is no longer going to replace all of the diesel buses, stating that they'll keep it 2/3 CNG and 1/3 diesel. They are ordering 6 new CNG buses and 5 more diesel, either 35 or 40 feet long.

They are also ordering 7 new special Transit buses to replace 720-725, 730, and 737.

The tender for the 11 buses was awarded to Grande West for 35' Vicinity buses, 5 will be diesel and 6 will be CNG.

The 7 specialized transit buses was awarded to Overland Custom Coach and by the looks of it will be a Glaval product such as the Titan II LF.

Does anyone know any history about:

  • Mobile command post 1044 (old look, formerly 744)
  • City storage 1045 (new look, formerly 752)
  • The last bus in the gallery quoted below:

It just hit me... I think 773 was a Fleury.

773 was a Solo, and that definitely isn't a solo.

The fleet number of the bus in question is 714. The fleet manager didn't know that bus existed.

Does anyone know why the route numbers are so high and spread apart? It is a bit unusual, although does make service areas very clear.

1*- Service in the north: 10, 11, 12 (former)

2*- Service to South Hill/Flats: 20, 21, 22

3*- Service along Dunmore Road (there are a lot of strip malls along this road): 30, 31

4*- Service to college 40, 41

5*- Service to Ross Glen 50, 51 (former), 53

6*- Service to South Ridge/Southlands: 60, 61, 62

Didn't apply to the 5 route system in 2017.
